Cold Enough for Snow
Jessica Au
This thoughtful and contemplative novel is about a mother and daughter travelling to Japan. The lyrical descriptions of Tokyo streets, museum visits, and a long-awaited hike wet the pallet for a trip to Japan, or bring back memories of similar trips. I read this the week after arriving home from Japan, and I could still feel the culture on my skin, the smells and sites and sounds. A beautiful novel to take along — plus it's tiny and fits easily in a travel bag!
