Testimonials

We are proud to have so many people travelling with us more than once. Read why they want to see the world with us.

What kind of people will you meet travelling with us?

  • These people are truly something special - kind, curious, and deeply committed to being thoughtful and respectful travellers. Within the group, there was always a sense of openness and care that created a safe, generous space for conversation and reflection. I’ve come away from this adventure not only with unforgettable experiences, but with real friendships that I truly cherish. It’s a rare and beautiful kind of travel community - these are my people!

  • Generally I have avoided group travel in the past. However, I felt I was travelling with likeminded people - everyone was kind, intelligent, and interesting. It was genuinely interesting to chat with everyone about their lives and share the experience with them.

    Danielle

  • Smart, kind, nerdy super-fans of the written word, brimming with curiosity and open minds. Respectful of and willing to be immersed in the culture of the country, and supportive of each other in that journey. The kind who were able to form a book-loving family with lots of in-jokes after just ten days together

  • I had previously been nervous about group travel - it seemed like a lottery in terms of who you might end up stuck with. That wasn't the case with Bibliocarta. The group was full of people who genuinely enjoy meaningful travel as well as having fun. I've kept in contact with people I now consider friends

    Elsie

  • The group was made up of kind, curious, friendly and fascinating women. These trips are for people who love to learn about other countries and cultures, and who share a love of reading. It was a pleasure to travel with all the women on the tour, and share these experiences with them.

  • If someone asked me what kind of people go on a Bibliocarta trip, I’d say: thoughtful, open-minded, and genuinely curious people who are interested in more than just sightseeing. Everyone I met was kind, engaged, and eager to connect and not just with the places we visited, but with each other. There was a shared love of stories, culture, and meaningful conversation, which made the group dynamic feel easy and enriching.

What makes Bibliocarta different?

  • Bibliocarta has completely transformed the way I travel and I honestly can’t imagine going back. Instead of simply visiting a place, I’ve learned to slow down, listen deeply, and seek out the voices and stories that shape people and place. We didn’t just visit - we were welcomed into homes, shared meals, read literature, and immersed ourselves in culture with care and respect. Bibliocarta has taught me what it means to be a thoughtful, responsible traveller, and I carry that with me now wherever I go. I’m a better traveller and a better person because of it.

  • Calling Bibliocarta just a travel company would be selling them short. The trip itinerary isn't simply about ticking off major attractions and Instagram photo opportunities. Bibliocarta thoughtfully curates a travel experience that begins well before departure. Preparing us with a comprehensive reading list helps immerse you in the culture before you even leave home. The itinerary feels tailored to the group and our shared interests, and there will be experiences that you just wouldn't ever get with a standard travel company.

  • Planning a trip around reading and studying the culture just adds extra depth. Reading books gave me a base to build on, reality then tweaked and altered some of those thoughts and perspectives, and then I am looking forward to the couple of books I still have left to read after the trip and how my perspectives have again changed. I think it was great that everyone had read the same book. I loved the group discussion and hearing the variety of perspectives, it added depth to my reading - it made me happy to be with a group of such thoughtful, intelligent people.

What would you say about travelling with Bri Lee as a host?

  • Not only does Bri attract a certain type of traveller (curious, thoughtful, gentle, kind) which makes every group special, her thoughtful curation of everything on the tours, from the itinerary to reading list to writing workshops will mean you get the absolute maximum out of your travel experience. Once you travel with Bri you don’t want to do it any other way!

  • Bri's warmth, humour, and grounded presence created an atmosphere that was both welcoming and intellectually rich. She brought the books and places to life in a way that felt personal and profound, weaving literature, history, and local context into our daily experiences with real care and insight. Bri has a gift for holding space, whether guiding a group through a busy medina or leading a reflective book discussion or a writing session. Her passion for storytelling and connection was at the heart of the trip, and it elevated the entire experience.

  • Bri as tour team captain was a real highlight of the trip - I knew I was in safe hands the entire time, that she'd work hard to make sure we'd all have a great, relaxing, smooth experience. The writing workshops and book clubs were a highlight. I don't consider myself a writer, but was really surprised how much I got out of the workshops, how much fun I had with being guided through creative exercises by Bri.
