Travel for readers and a library for travellers.

We founded Bibliocarta to offer kind nerds the opportunity to see the world on small group tours. As big readers and travellers ourselves, we’ve learned from experience that literature always enriches a journey. With curated reading guides and books posted out to you before departure, you’re guaranteed to share your historical and literary interests with travellers who also value generosity and respect.

Imagine sipping and snacking on local delicacies whilst taking part in the funniest and smartest book club of your life, and you’ve just finished a guided walking tour of the city in which your novel is set. That’s Bibliocarta.

Every trip has both a host and a local guide. Our itineraries are uniquely designed in collaboration with the host’s interests and the local guide’s expertise. You will experience a mixture of literature, history, food, nature, and culture. We have a generous tipping policy (included in the price of the trip!) and we prioritise experiences with local and women-run businesses and organisations. In our experience, good readers make good tourists.

Over on our library page you can freely access reading recommendations from people who’ve recently travelled all over the world. We’re excited to watch our library grow over the coming months and years.
