The Bay of Fires Creative Retreat

Bibliocarta's next Creative Retreat is to the Bay of Fires (Lutruwita/Tasmania) in June 2026!

This 3-night stay will be co-hosted by Jodi Wilson and Bri Lee. Jodi will be teaching workshops and leading discussions drawn from her latest book, A Brain That Breathes.

Guests will be provided with delicious breakfast and dinner each day. There will be roasting marshmallows by open fires each night, morning pages to wake up to, and Bri's famous 'peaks troughs and passages' guided book club sessions. 

We are planning to include a First Nations learning opportunity too; there are some amazing local Palawa organisations. This inclusion is important to us and we'll be able to confirm what it is along with the rest of the details when the trip launches in February.

There will be a range of accommodation options available to choose from: luxury bell tents both twin-share and private, some shared bunk rooms, and one private double room. Bathrooms are shared. Many Certified Legends have been to the Bay of Fires Bush Retreat before and adore it. You will too.

Prices are TBC but will depend on accommodation type. There will be the usual $1,500 (AUD) non-refundible deposit and payment plans available to space out the remainder being due. Returning Certified Legends will have a week of early access to make their deposits and secure their places in February 2026, and remaining spots will then open to the public.
