If you’ve ever thought that "it’s all too much", perhaps you need to pause for a few days and ask
yourself: what’s enough?

An optimised world will always offer prolific advice for how to live better, but enoughness offers us more space and less expectation, so you can get to know yourself, understand your values, and prioritise what matters. The concept of enoughness (take what you need, leave the rest) can seem limiting at first, but evidence shows that considered constraints are incredibly beneficial for our psychological wellbeing and our creativity.

In the quiet beauty of the Bay of Fires, we’ll get curious about our inner lives; the choices we make each day, the things that bring us joy and satisfaction, what makes us feel purposeful and how we can consider life with less stuff and more possibility.

I’ll bring 10 years of yoga teaching experience to the retreat, so along with an exploration of enoughness based on research for my new book, I’ll guide you through deeply restful relaxations and breathing practices so you can reacquaint yourself with your body and breath, grounding yourself in the moment and finding clarity in the stillness. — Jodi Wilson

Think beautiful accommodation in the most stunning natural environment, a huge wine selection and some of the most special dining experiences. — CatMac

  • I met a fabulous group of likeminded women who love discussing books, ideas, nature and pets! Got my full geek on, and felt absoutely comfortable and at ease the whole time. I've made new friends and potential creative collaborators, rested, revived and spent time thinking and day dreaming. The perfect reset for busy lives. Such a special retreat, a true highlight of my year. — Katharine

Two Different Bay of Fires Retreats? Which One is for Me?

The 2026 Bay of Fires Creative Retreat sold out in 12 hours, and we have over 120 people on the earlybird list for a 2027 repeat, so we have created two different retreats. This one is the 'Enoughness Retreat' and the other is the 'Wintering Retreat'.

Enoughness is an opportunity to dig deep into your inner life - no skimming or scrolling here, just careful consideration and quiet contemplation. Curiosity always leads to clarity so as you work through your values and priorities, you’ll come away with an awareness of what you need to live well and an enoughness practice you can use as a framework for daily life. It is hosted by Jodi Wilson.

Wintering is for those interested in pursuing a creative life but are unsure where to begin, or feel stuck in the middle of a project, or just need the gentle but firm guidance of someone a little further ahead on the path. This retreat will allow you to work through fear and doubt so you can feel more confident in yourself and your ideas. It is co-hosted by Jodi Wilson and Bri Lee.

Winter in the Bay of Fires

It will be cold in Tasmania in May - cool but stunning. Jodi says the rest of us 'mainlanders' will need to rug up.

Your tents have heaters in them as well as electric blankets and a hot water bottle for every guest too. There are overhead heaters in the workshop space as well. We'll send a suggested packing list the month before departure.

Workshops | Book Clubs

Enoughness Workshops

1. Curiosity: Let’s begin by getting curious about life right now: where are you at, what is working for you, what do you pine for, how can you begin to see the limitations of your season as a reliable framework to move forward?

2. Knowing: The more we understand ourselves, the more meaningful life feels so let’s get to the root of what matters: outlining our values and goals so we can live purposefully in that sweet spot where contentment and ambition co-exist; knowing and trusting ourselves.

3. Practice: Enoughness is the antidote to the rush and the race; it’s a daily practice that becomes a lens for your decision making. This practical workshop will combine everything you’ve learnt over the weekend so you can return home clear and focused, aware of the tiny possibilities that exist when you slow down long enough to notice.

Book Clubs

You will receive two "required readings" that Jodi has set for this trip. Please read them and come ready to discuss in the first two book clubs. The third is what Bibliocarta calls "bring a plate" - everyone arrives with one other book relevant to the themes of the trip, ready to discuss what it meant to them and recommend it to others. We leave with a wonderful, varied list to follow up on!

Payment Process & Payment Plan Options

Travellers must make their non-refundable deposit to secure their spot on the trip because places are limited.

Once the minimum threshold of travellers is reached and the trip is confirmed as proceeding, you will then receive an email asking how you would like to manage the remaining amount due. At this time you may choose to either pay the amount in full (no later than 30 January 2027) or sign up for the payment plan of three installments (to be paid in October, November, and December 2026).

Please read our Terms & Conditions page for further details.

Dietaries?

The food on this retreat is a big, special part of it, and we are committed to making sure everyone can enjoy the meals. If you've got a standard dietary requirement such as gluten free or vegetarian, we can definitely cater to you. If you have severe allergies or something a little less common, please email us and we're happy to check with our catering partners.
